You Can Adopt

You Can Adopt launches a new campaign to highlight the circle of support available to adopters and help find resilient parents for the children who typically wait the longest to be adopted.

The new campaign features a series of short and captivating films and an exclusive podcast episode with Sanam Harrianan, former children’s social worker and Love Island Winner. The various forms of support available to adopters include therapeutic and financial support for children with disabilities, ongoing support through workshops and training sessions, plus support available through charities, employers, friends, relatives, peers, and more.

The You Can Adopt campaign highlights that adopters are in the greatest demand for brother and sister groups, older children, children with additional and/or complex needs and children from Black and mixed heritage backgrounds.

Children from these groups represent 59% of all children waiting to be adopted. While it may take longer to find the right family for some children, the power of family and a permanent home can be transformational, and support is available.
